420-FRIENDLY (OUTSIDE ONLY): This is a wellness-friendly Vibe where cannabis is welcome in the outdoor areas only (the courtyard, the covered terrace and the second floor balcony). Smoking of any kind is NEVER allowed inside the home. A $750 fee applies for smoking inside, plus any costs for damaged furniture, and if the smell of smoke causes the next reservation to be cancelled, that stay's cost is the guest's responsibility. Please be respectful of neighbors and local laws at all times. A Mediterranean style mansion estate in one of Plantation's most affluent, leafy neighborhoods, built around a private courtyard oasis. Royal palms frame the circular drive, and inside the arched loggias, a grand double height foyer and a sweeping staircase set the tone for a true estate stay across 8 bedrooms and 11 beds. The resort courtyard is the centerpiece: a heated pool with sunbeds all around, a built in BBQ kitchen with alfresco dining, a covered terrace with table tennis and hanging pod chairs, and a second floor terrace balcony above it all. Movie nights run in the private 9 seat cinema with leather recliners, and the games room stacks a pool table, foosball and a basketball game. The chef's kitchen is all warm wood and granite, the primary suite is a small apartment of its own, and a wood paneled library office handles anyone mixing work with the stay. The estate sits on a canal, so iguanas, small lizards and other local wildlife are a natural part of the setting, as they are across South Florida. Plantation's golf courses, Las Olas Boulevard (about 12 miles), Sawgrass Mills and the Fort Lauderdale beaches are all an easy drive. GOOD TO KNOW: Pool heating is available for a small fee, and external pool heaters do not operate when the outside temperature falls below 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Free parking is included on site. HOUSE RULES AND DEPOSIT: Check-in is 4 PM and check-out is 10 AM, with a 3 night minimum. The refundable damage deposit for this home is $2,000, due before arrival, and deposits cannot be paid by credit card. Local resident bookings and bookings made within 7 days of arrival require an additional deposit of $1,000, July 4th holiday bookings require an additional $500 deposit, and 2 night bookings require an additional deposit as well. The primary renter must be 25 or older, and valid photo ID for all guests is required before arrival. Occupancy is strictly capped at 8 adults (ages 13 and over) plus up to 4 children under 13, per the host's terms, and no unregistered guests are allowed. Parties, events and fireworks are strictly prohibited, and commercial activities and video recording for commercial purposes are not permitted on the premises. Quiet hours run 10 PM to 8 AM.
